What sets Kevin apart is his remarkable ability to tackle even the most challenging cases of dog behaviour. He specializes in working with dogs exhibiting reactivity or aggression issues, often taking on cases that others shy away from. Kevin firmly believes that every dog has the potential to thrive, and he's dedicated to helping them reach their best selves.

Kevin's training philosophy is refreshingly simple: you, the owner, are the greatest reward for your dog's good behavior. His methods have consistently delivered results, transforming dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments into well-adjusted companions. His true passion lies in empowering dog owners worldwide, equipping them with the skills and understanding they need to forge strong bonds with their furry friends. Kevin's ultimate mission is to reduce the heartbreaking instances of dogs being surrendered or euthanized due to behavioral problems.

In 2017, Kevin made waves by creating the groundbreaking dog sport, EliteK9 Competition, in China. This unique sport not only tests the skills of sport and protection dogs but also celebrates their incredible spirit. In the same year, he proudly represented the Canadian team at the prestigious French Ring Champions event in the USA, showcasing his prowess on an international stage.

Kevin loves sharing his knowledge with fellow dog enthusiasts around the world. He conducts seminars, dedicating three days to working and bite sports and two days to solving common behaviour issues in pet dogs.

When he's not immersed in the world of dogs, Kevin enjoys the simple pleasures of life. You'll often find him in the great outdoors, relishing quality time with his lovely wife, Lilian, and their cherished dogs. His commitment to learning and improving never wanes, as he continuously hones his skills with his competition dogs.

Natalie Blais & Manto

Meet Natalie, your go-to expert for canine nutrition and training. As a certified raw dog food nutrition specialist, she's dedicated to ensuring your dog thrives on a balanced and wholesome diet. Natalie's journey began in 2003 when she graduated as a Veterinary Technician from Seneca College. For the next 17 years, she tirelessly worked in animal shelters, driven by her passion for helping our furry companions.

In an unexpected twist, Natalie's journey led her into the world of dog training. She quickly realized that it's not just the dogs that need guidance; people require support and knowledge too! Harnessing her natural teaching abilities and honing her training skills, Natalie found her calling. In January 2021, she joined the CaptainK9 team and fully embraced Kevin's methods and philosophy.

Natalie's true mission is to educate and empower people, enabling them to succeed in training and nurturing a remarkable life with their dogs. Her dedication to animals has now evolved into a commitment to enriching the lives of both dogs and their human companions through the power of raw food diets and expert training.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Natalie finds solace and joy in the company of her family and her beloved 5-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Reggie. As she continues to grow in her field, she eagerly anticipates her future in the sport dog world. Her aspirations include further skill development and the opportunity to explore and share her expertise with a global audience.

Sam & FuGui

Meet Sam, the newest addition to the CaptainK9 team, who embarked on a life-changing journey in September 2022. Hailing from Hong Kong, Sam made the bold move to Canada to pursue his passion for dogs and training, leaving behind his world and his loving mom (rest assured, Mom, he's in capable hands!).

Sam's journey into the world of dog training began after he graduated from college. His time working in an animal shelter opened his eyes to the immense need for canine assistance and support. Recognizing the profound impact he could make, Sam pursued further education and graduated from the Hong Kong Canine Training Association (HKCTA).

Returning to the animal shelter environment, Sam played a crucial role in rehabilitating dogs, preparing them for their future adoptive homes. His dedication to these four-legged companions ignited his desire to make a more significant difference in the lives of dogs and their owners.

Now, as a vital member of the CaptainK9 team, Sam is dedicated to realizing his dreams and passions. He is committed to helping dogs and their human counterparts, making their journeys together as joyful and fulfilling as possible. Sam's presence is a testament to the global reach of CaptainK9's mission, transcending borders to provide expert care and training for dogs in need.
